Keep Up with the Kardashians in a Latex Kind of Way

Since 2007, over thirteen years, the world has watched the lives of the Kardashian-Jenner family unfold in front of their eyes; from makeups, breaks up, and even balloons! Yes, you did not misread, I said BALLOONS! I am sure the topic is not exactly what you were expecting in a post about the Kardashians. So, exactly what do the Kardashians have to do with balloons? Well, they are pretty much paired with every other product line you can think, makeup, apparel, perfume, restaurants, just to name a few. So why would they not be involved in the balloon world?

Unless you are completely void of social media, I am sure you are very much aware that the Kardashian clan loves to party. From elaborate weddings, to baby showers, and birthdays, one guest that seems to always get a VIP invite to the soiree is balloons. You heard me correct, a Kardashian celebration is not complete without a lovely display of balloons. In fact, when people ask me why balloons are so popular, my first response is, “the Kardashians.” These icons and media influencers have had an impact on just about every industry you can think of, so why would balloons be excluded?

Let’s take a quick trip down Kardashian balloon memory lane and take a look at some of the ways balloons have made an appearance at the party.

We all remember Tru’s, first birthday party. Heir to the Kardashian throne and only child of Khloe Kardashian, first birthday celebration day was filled with massive organic balloon décor accented with butterflies and unicorns. In an article with People magazine, All About Balloons CEO, Caity Byrne, estimated that the cost of the custom colored display cost over $8500! That’s a lot of balloons for a one year old.

How about the elaborately balloon filled baby shower for Khloe’s BFF Malika Haqq? The BEARly there theme shower featured nude and brown custom colored organic arches, wall, and even a floating teddy bear! How adorable.

And finally, let’s talk about the lavish 36th pink themed, birthday party that Kylie Jenner hosted for her big sister Khloe. Also, more intimate and smaller than the normal Kardashian bashes, it was still just as extravagant and included inflatable, floating flowers, branded pillows, mask, and hand sanitizers, and of course BALLOONS. This time the lovely latex was crafted into balloon trees, and a massive balloon wall featuring Khloe’s name. What a way to celebrate.

Although, some fans complain that the Kardashians use too many balloons at their parties and express concerns about the harm to the environment, it does not look like the Kardashians and their party planner Mindy Wiess are letting up on decorating the party with balloons.
